Reporting on performance

Recovered sales, recovery rate and how each campaign is doing, in plain language.

Use this guide for weekly check-ins, monthly reports and "is this campaign working?" questions.

The numbers you can ask for

NumberWhat it means
ConversationsConversations your LiveRecover agents started.
Replies and reply rateHow many conversations got a reply from the customer, and what share that is.
Orders recoveredOrders that came from a conversation.
Recovered salesRevenue from those orders. You can split it into abandoned cart and post-purchase.
Recovery rateRecovered orders as a share of conversations.
Average order valueAverage value of a recovered order.
Influenced revenueOther orders from customers you messaged that were not directly recovered.
New customersFirst-time customers won in the period.
Customer valueRecovered plus influenced revenue, per customer reached, in the period.
Store sales and ordersEverything sold in your store over the period, for context.
UnsubscribesCustomers who opted out of texts in the period.
Failed messagesMessages that could not be delivered.
Average response timeHow long customers take to reply after the first message.

These are the same numbers as your VYG dashboard. Not sure what to ask for? "What numbers can you report on?"

If you do not give dates, reports cover the last 30 days.

Everyday questions

  • "How did we do last week?"
  • "Show recovered sales and recovery rate for the last 30 days, compared with the 30 days before."
  • "How quickly are customers replying to our messages this month?"
  • "Chart recovered sales by day for September."
  • "How much of our total store sales came through VYG last quarter?"

Campaign by campaign

Each of your campaigns can be looked at on its own.

  • "List my active campaigns."
  • "How is my abandoned cart campaign doing this month?"
  • "Compare my active campaigns on conversations, recovered sales and recovery rate."
  • "Which campaign has the best recovery rate over the last 90 days?"
  • "What does my post-purchase campaign do, step by step?"

A monthly report in one ask

"Write my monthly report for September. Include recovered sales, recovery rate, conversations and average order value, each compared with August. Then compare my active campaigns, list the top three customer feedback themes, and finish with two suggestions for next month. Keep it to one page."

Claude pulls the numbers, compares them and writes it up. Ask it to explain any number you plan to share.

Other connected tools

If your brand has connected them in VYG, Claude can also look at:

  • Shopify: all-time order counts, repeat buyers and live stock levels. "How many units of our best seller are in stock?"
  • Klaviyo: email and SMS campaign and flow results. "How did last week's Klaviyo email campaigns perform?"

Tips

  • Time zone matters for daily numbers. Reports use Pacific Time unless you say otherwise: "...in Eastern time."
  • Compare like with like. Compare a full month with a full month, or the last 7 days with the 7 days before.
  • Check before you share. Ask "Which dates and which campaigns does that number cover?"
